Music Title: Clair De Lune

Welcome to Cherry Run Camp Tour #Two! We still have some more things to show you about this unique place. So hop into my Corvette and let's go!

Just ahead you see the beautiful Shumaker cottage -- well, it's more a house, but some of us still refer to it as a "cottage." Usually the District Superintendent and his wife stay here when camp is in session. Also the musicians are housed here as well. Cherry Run has been blessed over the years with talented musicians who play for each service.

Now just below the Shumaker cottage is the speakers cottage built in memory of "Daddy" Ross -- another great supporter of Cherry Run Camp in decades past. All the speakers are housed in this building.

Here is something that everyone takes notice of -- or maybe I should say, "hears about" when they come to Cherry Run Camp! Do you see the tower framework just behind the tree? On top of that tower is the bell which starts ringing at 7 AM each morning to encourage residents to wake up! And then it is rung periodically throughout the day to remind the guests of certain activities taking place at certain times. Notice it is located right next to the speakers' place of residence! Interesting comments have come from our evangelists about the location of the bell -- especially those who sleep on the west side of the cottage!

As we look west you will see the little bridge, the chapel which is used for many events for people of all ages, and the south end of the main pavilion where there are basketball courts, or a volley ball net can be set up for a game in that sport. It is really a big place, with a BIG roof and lots of lights for night time events.

Now we are in the main pavilion looking at the north end and just look at what is there -- can you imagine the possibilities of what can be done here in special times of fellowship with a blazing fire in that fireplace -- maybe a couple of weiners on a stick, or some marshmellows -- ooops! Forgive me for talking like that -- I'll have to head to the kitchen for something to eat if I keep this up!

And as we move west beyond the chapel and main pavilion we see the motor home/camper area with available utilities, rest rooms, and picnic pavilion. A number of persons attending Cherry Run take advantage of this area and come in a motor home or bring a camping trailer and park it in this area while they are here.

Well that about does it for Tour #Two. Are you getting a better picture now of what all is here at Cherry Run Camp? Would you like to bring a group here sometime for a real special time of spirtual refreshing and challenge in your daily walk of faith? Isn't it great that God has a beautiful plan for every conceived human life? And that plan begins to take shape and form as we commit ourselves to following Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. I do hope to see you again soon. I understand that the boss is planning a Tour #3 and in some ways it is going to be a lot different than the first 2 tours, so keep checking back to see the door that has Tour #Three on it.
