Music Title: Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Hello! I'm helping out around here a little bit. My name is Theo, and I'm the fellow that is conducting the tours around Cherry Run Camp. But the boss said that when I'm not busy at that I can explain a little bit about all the work that goes on around Cherry Run. There are major projects like the one you see above, but then there are things that have to be done constantly all over the camp. These are regular tasks that a number of people voluntarily do to help the camp function without serious problems in what some might call its "infrastructure."

For instance consider such things as:

Garbage removal -- if someone didn't do that, what would happen?
Phew!

And grass has to be cut -- you saw that big field
didn't you? Not to mention all the grounds within
the camp itself!

Just all kinds of things, from painting or changing light bulbs
to hammering nails to repair a cottage!

And lots of things going on behind the scenes
which are not often noticed -- but if they aren't
done, then EVERYONE would notice, right?

There is one man who is in the middle of all this at all times. He is Mr. Jim Carmichael, the official caretaker at Cherry Run Camp. He is literally "all over the place" giving attention to the needs of the camp.

It's hard to catch Jim to get a picture...
he's always on the move! Well, here he is...
ah, he's the one kneeling, looking down the manhole!
Got to keep that sewer system working you know!

And no, he wasn't playing golf, either! That's a genuine Cherry Run "converted" golf cart, which has a little bed on it to carry tools and materials to wherever some work needs done! A great big "THANKS" to you, Jim, for all your work you give in helping to make Cherry Run Camp a blessing to all who walk its grounds! Jim is also the person to be contacted if you and your group want to reserve the camp for a special get together.

We're not finished in this area yet. In the near future there will be a listing of some projects that have been completed in recent months to give you an idea of the huge amount of work that goes on to maintain and beautify the camp.
